Our customized private tours in Tokyo last from 4 to 8 hours; your tour length is your choice. You can start your Tokyo tour at any time from 8 am to 6:00 pm allowing you to book a day tour or a night tour.

Tours for 1 to 4 people are conducted in a Toyota Alphard. Tours for 5 or more people are conducted in a Toyota HiAce. You will have a guide and a driver meaning that you can hop in and out of the car anywhere, there is no need for us to find parking.

We know that it is often difficult to decide what to see and do, especially in cities like Tokyo where there are endless possibilities. Tell us your basic interests and we will put an itinerary together for you, ensuring that you see the things that will appeal to you the most and at a pace that suits you.

Tours can finish at Hanada or Narita Airport for a surcharge making them ideal for cruise passengers

We can combine some of the must see’s like the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Sensoji Temple and Tsukiji Fish Market with something a little more off the beaten track to ensure that you see Tokyo for what it is; a city where modernity meets tradition like in no other. It is a city steeped in history where one can explore beautiful gardens, shop in 300 year old shops, cross ancient bridges and in the next step be surrounded by skyscrapers clad in bright neon lights and teenagers in crazy fashion-forward outfits.

If you are a foodie but do not want to do our full food tour we can combine foodie elements into your Customised Tokyo Private Tour, ensuring that you still get a wonderful mouthwatering taste of Japan. If you would like to pick up some souvenirs en route we can show you our favorite shops. Perhaps you are a photographer and would like to visit the most photogenic locations. Or an architect with an interest in visiting the citi’s finest contemporary buildings. Whatever it is we will ensure that your customized car tour is exactly what you are looking for.

We are very experienced in designing and delivering tours for couples, families with teenagers, families with young children, business travellers who have a short amount of time between meetings, the over 60s and corporate incentive trips. We also work with several universities in the US, Europe and Australia to provide educational student tours.

If you have not been to Tokyo before and have no preferences we will give you a comprehensive Tokyo private tour. We will focus on combining touristic highlights with local neighbourhoods and throw in a good mix of history, culture and food.

All prices listed are in US$ and are the total price for the tour.
We do accept last-minute bookings so if you are already in Tokyo please do contact us for our availability. Tours can be booked online up to 24 hours before the desired start time.

This private tour of Tokyo is just for you and your friends/family. No one else will join your tour. You can bring a maximum of 8 people on your tour. Children aged 11 years and under are free of charge but they do take up a seat in the car. Prices do not include entrance fees (if any) or any food/drinks that you choose to buy during your tour. Please note that there is a 4.8% credit card processing fee.

Surcharges

Groups of 4 people with luggage will need to upgrade to a HiAce at US$10 per hour.

Groups of 1 to 4 people without luggage may upgrade to a HiAce if they wish at US$10 per hour.

When you book your tour you will answer a number of questions about your interests and what you hope to get out of your tour. We will then use your answers to design a tour specifically for you.

We cover the following topics on every tour, how much detail we go into depends on how interested you are in each topic: History (Emperors and Shoguns), WW2 History, Politics, Current Affairs, The Day To Day Life Of A Salary Man, Housing, Religion, Education, Food, Architecture, Language.

Please tell us if you have a specific interest like Photography, Shipping / Trade, Crafts, Animal Cafes, Anime / Manga, or anything else for that matter.

LENGTH: 4 to 8 hours.

STARTING TIME: Any time from 8 am to 6:00 pm (8-hour tours must start by 2:00 pm)

STARTING POINT: We will pick you up at your hotel or if you have other plans before the tour we will come and meet you somewhere.

FINISHING POINT: We can take you back to your hotel or if you have something else planned we can drop you off where you need to be, including at the Aiport.
