Green Tea Ceremony

Experience a traditional green tea ceremony with us on a private tour in Tokyo. Step into a beautifully recreated samurai-era tea room and learn the basics and etiquette of the Kobori Enshu school of tea ceremony while enjoying freshly prepared green tea and traditional Japanese sweets. This tea ceremony takes place in an authentic-style Japanese setting designed to capture the spirit of traditional tea rooms.

Availability: Mondays to Sundays, between 11 am and 5 pm.

Overview: This traditional tea ceremony is an opportunity to slow down and experience an important part of Japanese culture in an intimate and beautifully preserved setting. You’ll learn about the traditions and etiquette surrounding Japanese tea while experiencing the atmosphere of a traditional tea room.

The venue offers a particularly authentic experience, combining traditional Japanese architecture, and a quiet atmosphere.

Duration: 45 minutes to 60 minutes

Pricing:

  • 1–2 guests: US$132 per group

  • 3 guests or more: US$66 per person

  • 1–3 guests: Guide’s entrance fee of US$33 per group is payable by the guests

  • 4 guests or more: Guide’s entrance fee is waived

Location: This experience is located in Meguro, one of the 23 wards of Tokyo. It sits near the Nippon Mingeikan (Japan Folk Crafts Museum). Meguro is famous for the cherry trees along the Meguro River, stylish cafes, and unique museums. It blends quiet residential streets with trendy shopping and historic spots.
